A film about sportsmanship, courage and not giving in.

Set to the infectious and anthemic song All These Things That I’ve Done by The Killers, BOTTLED COURAGE is a celebration of anti-heroes in sports. The film applauds their moments of defiance and outstanding genius, battling against the odds and shining through, above and beyond the rest.

Ralf Schmerberg created BOTTLED COURAGE for Nike Greater China’s “Just Do It” campaign on the occasion of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The short film charts key moments from the past twenty years of sporting history, including Michael Jordan embracing the NBA Championship trophy, triathlete Julie Moss crawling over the finish line in 1982 and cyclist Lance Armstrong triumphing in his battle with cancer.

The spot earned Schmerberg a 2009 Commercial Emmy Nomination.
